It’s a showdown of two tasty beverage concoctions inspired by the iconic monsters, Godzilla and King Kong, that will transport you right to the heart of the action. Take your tastebuds on a thrilling ride with these uniquely crafted cocktails.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is scheduled to be released internationally on March 27, 2024, and in the United States on March 29.
Kong Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 oz By The Dutch White Batavia Arrack Indonesian Rum
- 1 oz Naga Cask Aged Rum
- 2 lime wedges, squeezed for juice
- 1 tbsp tangerine marmalade
- Ginger Ale (about 3 oz)
- Garnish: lime leaves and a halved mangosteen
Instructions
- Add rum, marmalade, and lime juice to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously until a frost forms on the shaker.
- Strain over ice in a rocks glass, top with ginger ale, garnish, and serve!

Godzilla Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Haku Vodka
- 2 1/4 oz Haiku Gekkeikan Sake
- 1/4-1/2 oz spicy ginger simple syrup (recipe below)
- 1/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon (to taste)
- Garnish: shiso leaves and takanotsume pepper bunch
Instructions
- Add ice, vodka, sake, spicy ginger simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice to a cocktail shaker.
- Shake vigorously until a frost forms on the shaker.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass, garnish, and serve.
Spicy Ginger Simple Syrup Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup thinly sliced fresh ginger
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a small saucepan add water over medium-high heat and bring to a boil. Then add ginger and reduce to a simmer.
- Cook for about 45 minutes.
- Syrian the mixture into a container and measure the liquid.
- Discard all solids.
- Next, dissolve the sugar (1:1 ratio based on the volume, taking into consideration the evaporation) into the ginger concentrate.
- This simple syrup will keep in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to 2 weeks.
Tip: If you add a tbsp of vodka or rum, your simple syrup will last longer!
