The bull of the zodiac, Taurus (April 20-May 20), may at first appear like a stubborn beast but really they just want to sit quietly in green pastures amongst the clover and dandelions, inhaling the scent of wildflowers from a gentle breeze. Dependable Taurus needs only the quiet luxury of a well-made gin and tonic–it’s something you can find just about anywhere and it’s affordably priced. You’d be hard-pressed to get them out to the bar in the first place and they have better things to be spending their hard-earned money on (like that cashmere sweater they’ve been eyeing for a week or two, which probably looks quite similar to the one they bought the week before). G&Ts are brimming with the lush botanicals the Earth sign will find comforting, and a well-crafted tonic is like them–just the right amount of bitter.
Extra-Botanical Gin and Tonic Recipe
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Roku Japanese gin
.25 oz lime juice
Rosemary sprig
Juniper berries
Orange slice
Lime slice
1 by 1 ice cubes
INSTRUCTIONS
- Add your gin and lime juice to a Collins glass, top with any luxury tonic brand (Fever Tree is a great option) and then ice.
- Garnish extravagantly! Herbs, citrus, and dried juniper berries are all great options.
- Enjoy your Extra-Botanical Gin and Tonic!
