Could there really be any other drink to represent the lions of the zodiac than the Aperol Spritz? Leo is already daydreaming about their starring role in a stunning film about life and love in the Italian countryside. Similarly, the spritz is no stranger to the spotlight. It’s the star of every aperitivo hour, its flame-orange color drawing longing glances from sippers of all persuasions. The spritz looks especially fine in the hand of a Leo, arriving fashionably late on their Vespa, hair tantalizingly wind-blown, and an Italian silk scarf fluttering dramatically at their neck. Well hello, gorgeous!
Aperol Spritz Cocktail Recipe
INGREDIENTS
2 oz Aperol
3 oz prosecco
1 oz soda water
.25 lemon juice
1 dash orange bitters
Orange Wheel
1 by 1 ice cubes
INSTRUCTIONS
- Build all ingredients in a wine glass, top with ice and lightly agitate with a bar spoon to combine.
- Garnish with an orange wheel.
