Leave it to Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) to overthink the obvious. At its core, the Paloma is a simple, humble highball with just two ingredients: tequila and grapefruit soda. But an Aquarian, always the innovator, would immediately ask: What if it could be more? They can’t resist making improvements.
Why a Paloma for Aquarius?
Because tequila is the most important ingredient in a Paloma, this is where the Aquarian opportunity to tweak and evolve comes in. Encourage them to choose a tequila that aligns with their moral compass. Do they identify strongly with environmental causes? Beam Suntory’s Casa Sauza brand has won awards for its environmental practices. Do they care about social and humanitarian causes? Patron Tequila addresses fair wage practices, after-hours adult education, and access to local universities. Whatever Aquarius needs to make this Paloma truly their own.
With a little research, Aquarians can do their part to educate their friends on how to choose a sustainable, additive-free tequila brand that supports small, local farms and economies in Mexico. After all, they are one to bring people together. Plus you can pair this cocktail with the perfect meal for Aquarius and learn a bit more about this special sign.
