Barn 75: French 75 Cocktail Rendition

The Barn 75 is a more classic rendition of the cocktail that eventually became the French 75. It contains Calvados as the base spirit, which has a richer, warmer tone than the gin that eventually replaced it.

Blackberry Farm’s Barn 75 Cocktail Recipe

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ oz Boulard Calvados
½ oz lemon juice
½ oz honey syrup*
Jean Vesselle Champagne Brut Reserve N.V., to top
Lemon peel

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add the Calvados, lemon, and honey syrup to a cocktail shaker and shake with ice.
2. Strain into a flute and top with the Champagne.
3. Garnish with a lemon peel.
4. Enjoy your Barn 75 cocktail!

*To make the honey syrup, combine 2 parts honey to 1 part hot water.
