Sean Collier is the editor-in-chief of Shady Ave and the arts and culture editor of TABLE Magazine. Before joining the Table Media team, he spent nearly 15 years as a writer, editor and columnist at Pittsburgh Magazine, covering living, arts, culture and destinations in Western Pennsylvania; his tenure there was marked with regional and national recognition from the Western Pennsylvania Press Club, the City and Regional Magazine Association and more. As a film critic, he's a member of the Critics Choice Association, a founding member of the Pittsburgh Film Critics Association and a contributor to Rotten Tomatoes; as the in-house film critic for the top-rated WDVE Morning Show since 2009, he's been Pittsburgh's most widely heard voice on movies for nearly two decades.
A Pittsburgh native, Sean has since 2020 appeared weekly on KDKA-TV's popular Pittsburgh Today Live talk show, offering his recommendations for the city's best things to do. He is also the co-founder of immersive theater company Vigilance Theater Group , for whom he has written five original plays, and a regular event host and emcee at film screenings and other events, including the monthly Steel City Horror Show at the historic Harris Theater. He is also the host of the nationally recognized, diversity-focused independent wrestling organization Enjoy Wrestling .
A longtime stand-up comedian and comedy instructor, Sean has appeared on stages throughout the region and beyond as a featured performer, sharing the microphone with national acts including Bert Kreischer, Taylor Tomlinson, Sebastian Maniscalco, Aries Spears and Iliza Shlesinger.
