Italian Sausage Sauce

Description

An easy, scrumptious meat sauce!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 medium onions, sliced
  • 3 bell peppers, cut into strips
  • 2 cans (28 oz each) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 ½ lb fresh Italian sausage links, sweet or hot
  • Salt to taste
  • 14 oz water

Instructions

 

  1. Place the onions and peppers in a medium pot with olive oil. Cook until soft, about 2 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes and cook an additional 5 minutes.
  2. Add Italian sausage links, salt, and water.
  3. Cook for 40 minutes on medium to low heat.
