Green Chile Granita Recipe with Lime and Cilantro Blossoms

Description

This green chile granita recipe combines roasted green chile with fresh lime for a bright and refreshing frozen treat. It is finished with cilantro blossoms for a light, fresh touch.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 roasted green chile, peeled and seeded
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • 4 cilantro blossoms (or micro cilantro)


Instructions

  1. Heat water and sugar until dissolved. Cool completely.
  2. Blend syrup with green chile, lime juice, and zest until smooth. Strain.
  3. Pour into a shallow tray and freeze, scraping every 30 minutes with a fork until crystals form.
  4. Serve a small scoop in a chilled glass. Garnish with cilantro blossom.
