Buffalo Turkey Sliders

  • Author: Rhonda Schuldt
  • Total Time: 20 minutes
  • Yield: 8 Sliders 1x

Description

Shredded leftover turkey tossed in buttery Buffalo sauce and piled on slider buns with blue cheese dressing and diced celery.

Ingredients

Scale

For the buffalo sauce:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) butter
  • ½ cup hot wing sauce, such as Frank’s RedHot, plus more to taste
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

For the sliders:

  • 4 cups shredded leftover roast turkey, warmed
  • 8 slider buns, split
  • ½ cup blue cheese dressing
  • 1 rib celery, finely diced (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the sauce: Combine the butter and hot sauce in a small saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk until melted and smooth. Add more hot sauce to increase the heat, if desired. Season with garlic powder and black pepper.
  2. Make the sliders: Toss the warm turkey with the sauce, using about 2 tablespoons of sauce for every ½ cup of turkey.
  3. Divide the turkey among the slider buns. Top with blue cheese dressing and diced celery, if desired.

Notes

  • Quantities scaled from the author’s per-slider ratio of 2 tablespoons sauce to ½ cup turkey.
  • Leftover sauce keeps, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
