Description
Hops, a.k.a your favorite IPA, adds up to deliciousness in our Hoppity Easter-time cocktail.
Ingredients

- 5 dashes Bittermens Hopped Grapefruit Bitters
- .25 oz Cynar
- .25 oz sfumato
- 1.5 oz strawberry syrup
- Fill with your favorite hazy IPA; we use Cinderlands Full Squish
For the strawberry syrup:
- 2 lb strawberries
- 2 cups raw sugar
- 5 dashes Angostura bitters
Instructions
- Place bitters, Cynar, and sfumato in tall cocktail glass first.
- Add strawberry syrup, then fill 3/4s of the glass with ice.
- Finally, top with your favorite hazy IPA.
- Using a mixing tin, roll the drink back and forth twice and enjoy.
For the strawberry syrup:
- In a mason jar, muddle together strawberries, raw sugar and bitters.
- Let the mash macerate for about 15 minutes, then combine with 2 cups of water in a pot, and bring to a light simmer.
- Reduce until you’ve reached a nice viscosity, strain with a coffee filter in a mesh strainer (or just double strain with mesh).
- Date and store in a fridge for a few weeks. You can add an ounce or two of vodka to your syrup to extend its shelf life a bit as well.
