2nd Annual Sewickley Farm Show Reflects Regional Harvest Hues
presented by Sewickley Gallery & Frame Shop and TABLE Magazine

Exhibit Opens: Saturday, September 6, 2008 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Artist Reception: Friday, September 12, 2008 5:30-9 p.m.

August 22, 2008 (Sewickley, Pennsylvania)…After a very successful year one debut, the Sewickley Farm Show art exhibit returns for its highly anticipated sequel. Last year, every local artist represented sold works demonstrating measurable results that support the theory and purpose of the show -- local farms, local food and the beauty of southwestern PA countryside. A partnership that is artistically, culturally and personally inspiring for everyone -- the farms, the artist and the community.

Developed jointly between Sewickley Gallery & Frame Shop and TABLE magazine, the secret recipe of the Farm Show is:
Ten local artists partnering with ten regional farms to interpret vistas ranging from a pastoral sheep farm to a vibrant honey bee apiary in conjunction with the St. James Farmers Market and Sewickley Harvest Fest.
Original oils, pastels, watercolors, photography, acrylic, mirrored Plexiglas, wood and sculpture will convey the colors of fall during the 2nd Annual Sewickley Farm Show sponsored by WYEP-FM, The Allegheny Front, Geyer Printing, Slow Food Pittsburgh and the PA Association for Sustainable Agriculture (PASA).
