Exclusive Photos: Phipps' Tropical Forest India Debut
Posted: Feb. 9, 2012

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens' Tropical Forect India is now open to the public — but TABLE Magazine did a walk-through of the space while the paint was still being applied to temple facade!

We love the Ayurvedic healing gardens and especially the Ayurvedic medicine healer's hut!

Assistant Curator of Horticulture Ben Dunigan and Interpretive Specialist Jordyn Melino traveled to the Western Ghats, researching spice markets, national parks, tea factories, and botanical gardens to ensure that Pittsburgh visitors get the most authentic experience. Our favorites are the orchids: exquisitely breathtaking.

The premiere party will be held on March 17, from 6-9 p.m. For more information, visit phipps.conservatory.org.
